Inclusive Governance - Developed Kurukshetra

This report lays down an action plan for overall development of Kurukshetra district of Haryana, based on an analysis of its current socio-economic conditions. The report first outlines the demographic, social and economic profiling of the district, using various secondary data sources such as Census, NFHS, Statistical Abstract for Haryana, etc. It then identifies the key target areas of development, such as livelihood, health and education, based on secondary data analysis, as well as insights from field interviews. For each of these target areas, the report discusses some of critical challenges faced by the district, along with potential interventions to address them. A comparative analysis for the district is also done vis-a-vis the state of Haryana on all parameters. Lastly, based on the findings, an extensive list of short-term, medium-term, and long-term policies will be suggested towards improving the living standards of the population. This will provide a clear road map to policy makers for achieving inclusive development in the district.
