Junior Research Fellows
Doctoral students at JGU will have the opportunity to work with Constellations and IDEAS as Junior Research Fellows. The Office will facilitate the matching of interests and expertise in collaboration with the Office of Doctoral Studies (ODS).
WHY SHOULD YOU WORK WITH IDEAS?
-
Opportunity to expand your research skills and knowledge by working with interdisciplinary experts.
-
Incorporating your research expertise in existing constellations can help expand your publication profile.
-
Tap into the IDEAS network of collaborators and advisors for better professional outreach - thus expanding on opportunities for research, teaching, fellowships and grants, etc.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO?
-
As doctoral students, JRFs will collaborate with project leads within their assigned research constellation. Their focus will be on implementing various aspects of research projects aligned with their individual research interests, while closely working with Senior Research Fellows (SRFs), Research Fellows (RFs), and other team members within the specified timeline.
-
JRFs can assist SRFs and RFs in:
-
Developing research proposals/grant applications/op-ed articles
-
Conducting literature reviews (which could be a part of their own research)
-
Carrying out fieldwork where feasible/required
-
Analyzing data, among other activities
-
assistance in organizing executive learning/training programs, workshops, seminars, and conferences for each IDEAS-research constellation.
-
-
JRFs will ensure that research outputs align with the overall research vision of the constellation and the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies. JRFs will be reporting directly to Assistant Directors (Research), where a monthly update of their contributions would be shared directly with the ODS.
